Smooth Era is a multidisciplinary creative label with its roots in hip-hop and alternative music. We are currently the distributors for the artists shmu., and ERNESTO BIRMINGHAM, and provide creative support for their individual projects.
Our current team consists of creatives who specialize in video production, music production, visual arts, graphic design, social media campaigns, live performance organization, distribution, audio engineering, photography, editing, writing, publishing, journalism and creative operations. Our services and network are always growing.
Community is deeply important to us. We frequently curate events and live shows to give our community of artists and collaborators a space to come together, share their work, and connect to new audiences. We deeply value grassroots, boots-on-the-ground methods of outreach and connection.
Our blog ”Ant Trap” chronicles our contributors’ opinions and observations within the blossoming space of underground music, especially when it comes to young artists pushing boundaries and making waves outside of the mainstream.
Our goals are hefty, and our abilities are growing, but with eyes to the future we maintain our mission to carry the weight of this new era of artistry, without sacrificing the love, alignment, or inspiration that brought us together in the first place. So here’s to a new era. A Smooth Era.
